A useful agreement makes room for the correction a real project may need.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Agreements written as though nothing will change end up either broken or resented, because real work discovers things. The scope grows, a supplier disappears, the first version turns out to be the wrong idea. An agreement that admits this in advance is not weaker than a rigid one. It is the one people can still be honest inside.
When you set something up, include the dull sentence about what happens if it changes: who decides, how it gets priced, when you both pause and talk. Doing that at the friendly stage is easy. Doing it later, mid-problem, rarely goes well.
Which commitment did you make with no room to adjust?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
