Some doors are difficult to open because your hands are still full of what belongs in the old room.

You cannot take hold of something new while still carrying everything from before. The difficulty that looks like a locked door is often just your hands being occupied, with old grievances, old identities, old commitments that no longer apply. Nothing is being withheld. There is simply nowhere to put the new thing.
Ask what you are still carrying from a situation that has ended. Set one of those things down deliberately, even temporarily. Availability is usually the missing ingredient rather than opportunity.
What would you have to set down to take up something new?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
