RESILIENCE
Things get built to impress the people who understand them, and sophistication starts leaking into the surface where the user meets it. Most people arrive wanting something done rather than wanting to appreciate the engineering, and every layer of visible cleverness is another thing standing between them and the result. Complexity belongs underneath.
Look at what your work asks a user to understand before it becomes useful, and move as much of that out of their way as you can. The compliment worth wanting is that it was easy.
What did you build to impress rather than to help?
