You can outrun a person, but consequences have better endurance.

You can leave a place, a person, or a situation, and the results of what you did will still be waiting further along. Consequences do not get tired and they do not lose the trail. Avoidance buys time and adds interest, which is a poor trade over any length.

Name the thing you have been outrunning. Then take the first small step toward addressing it directly, even if that step is only a conversation. Handled early, most of these are much smaller than they become.
