A coach’s confidence matters most when it comes with something specific to practice.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Belief on its own can feel pleasant and still leave someone stuck. Being told you have it in you does not tell you what to do on Tuesday. Confidence becomes useful the moment it is attached to something small and repeatable: this grip, this opening line, this one section slowed down. That pairing is what turns encouragement into ability.

If you are the one encouraging someone, follow the praise with a single thing to work on this week. If you are the one being encouraged, ask for it. One specific instruction is worth a great deal of general faith.
