A diamond cannot choose the pressure, but it can become evidence that pressure does not always destroy.

Nobody chooses their hard conditions, and there is nothing noble about the pressure itself. What is available is the possibility that it does not have to destroy you, and that a person can come through something difficult still recognizably themselves and sometimes more so.

If you are in a hard stretch, do not look for its purpose. Look at what you are managing to keep intact. Protecting one or two of those things is enough of a project for now.
