The task you resent may be one you agreed to without meaning yes.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Resentment usually starts at the moment of agreement rather than during the work. Someone asked at a bad time, the silence stretched, and a yes came out because it was the fastest way to end the discomfort. The work then feels heavier than the same work freely chosen, because part of you is still objecting to a decision you never quite made. The task is rarely the real problem.
When you notice a resentment, trace it back to how you said yes. If it was pressure or speed, you can often reopen it with a plain sentence about capacity. Next time, buy yourself a day before answering.
