A move deserves space for grief even when you wanted it.

Wanting a change does not exempt you from losing what it replaced. A move you chose still takes away the shop where they knew you, the particular light through a particular window, the version of yourself that lived in those rooms. Grief does not check first whether the change was voluntary.
Let yourself be sad about the old place without treating the sadness as regret or as evidence you were wrong. Name three specific things you miss. Specific losses settle, while unnamed ones keep circling.
What did you lose in a change you actually chose?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
