Familiar things become invisible long before they become unimportant.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Attention has a strong bias toward novelty, which means anything constant fades from view long before it stops mattering. The people who are always there, the routines that hold your week together, the health you have not had to think about, all of it becomes background while remaining essential.
Once this week, look at something you see daily as though it were new. A face, a room, a habit. The invisibility is a feature of attention, not a fact about the thing, and it can be interrupted deliberately.
Who around you have you stopped really seeing lately?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
