A person learns responsibility faster when small choices carry real ownership.

LEADERSHIP
Responsibility is not taught by explanation; it is learned by consequence. A child who decides how to spend a small allowance and runs out learns something that no amount of advice about saving would have taught. The learning is in the ownership, which means the choice has to be genuinely theirs, including the right to choose badly.
Pick something small and hand it over completely: a budget, a meal, a route, a weekend plan. Say what the limits are, then stay out of it, including when you can see the mistake coming. Let the outcome do the teaching, and be the person who helps afterward without saying you knew.
Which small decision could you hand over completely to someone else?
