A little regular access to your materials can matter more than a perfect workspace.

Waiting for the right room is one of the most effective ways to never begin. The imagined studio has good light, no interruptions and a free Saturday, and while you wait the paints stay in a cupboard. What actually keeps a practice alive is friction being low: twenty minutes at the kitchen table, several times a week, with the materials already out.
Claim one small corner where the things can stay set up, even a tray you slide onto a table. Reduce the setup to under a minute, because that minute is where most attempts die. Then use it badly and briefly, which is how nearly everything gets made.
What would you make more often if it stayed within reach?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
