A good opportunity does not remove the need to ask what it will displace.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Opportunities are usually judged on their own merits, as if they arrived into empty space, and they never do. Every yes moves in beside a life already full, and something quieter gets pushed out to make room: a habit, a friendship, an evening that had no title but was doing real work. The question is not whether the new thing is good but what it costs you that you were not counting.

Before accepting anything this week, look at your ordinary days and name what will actually shrink. Say it out loud to yourself. If you would not trade that away knowingly, you have your answer.
