A short message can still be considerate when its purpose is clear.

Length is not the same as warmth. What makes a message hard to receive is usually not its brevity but the work it leaves behind: guessing what is wanted, by when, and whether a reply is needed at all. A few clear lines that state the ask and the timing respect a reader’s day more than a long note hiding its point in the middle.
Take one message you would have padded out and keep it short but complete. Say what you want, by when, and whether no response is fine. Add a human line if it is true, then send it without apologizing for its size.
