Let people finish learning one change before treating the next one as obvious.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Change is quick to declare and slow to absorb. Whoever designed it has been living with the reasoning for weeks, while everyone else is still building the new habit, finding what breaks, and quietly working around the parts nobody thought about. Stacking the next change on top of that turns competent people into people who feel behind.

Before announcing anything else, ask whether the last change has actually settled and what still catches. Let one thing become ordinary before starting the next. If something urgent has to jump the queue, say plainly which earlier thing is being paused.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where are you rushing others past a change they just learned?
