The skills you used while caring for someone may not appear on a formal job description.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Long stretches of caring for someone build capability with no obvious name: managing appointments and medication, negotiating with institutions, staying steady during something frightening, planning around a day that keeps changing. Because none of it came with a title, that period is easy to describe as a gap rather than as work, and easy to start believing so yourself.

Write out what you actually did and handled, in ordinary language, without shrinking it. Find the plain words: coordinating, advocating, budgeting, deciding under pressure. Those are the same words used for work that happens to arrive with a salary attached.
