A plant’s good appearance today does not cancel its need for ordinary care tomorrow.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Things that are visibly fine stop asking for attention, and attention drifts to whatever is currently struggling. The plant, the friendship, the tooth, the roof: healthy today means only that the care given until now was sufficient, not that it can stop. Neglect is usually discovered long after it began, because the decline is slow and quiet.
Choose one thing that is doing well and give it maintenance this week anyway. Water it, service it, call them, and put the next occasion in the calendar rather than waiting for a symptom to remind you.
What still looks fine while you quietly skip its upkeep?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
