The image chosen to represent someone deserves more care than the image chosen to fill a space.

LEADERSHIP
A picture used to stand for a person does work that decoration does not. It tells strangers who they are before any words arrive. An unflattering or careless choice follows them into rooms they will never enter. Filling a layout is a design problem; representing someone is a matter of how they will be seen and treated. The same shrug applied to both is where a lot of quiet harm happens.
When you pick a photo of someone this week, ask whether they would be glad to be met that way. If you are unsure, show them and let them choose.
When did you last choose someone’s picture carelessly?
