A garden is easier to keep when every task has a season rather than a sense of emergency.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Gardens punish panic. Most of what a garden needs is timed rather than urgent, with a month for pruning, a month for sowing, a month for feeding. Without a calendar everything looks equally overdue, and a bed you could keep in an hour a week turns into an accusation. A season replaces guilt with order.
Write down four or five jobs with the month each belongs to, and leave the rest alone until their month arrives. The garden will not fall apart while you wait, and neither will you.
