The right moment often becomes visible only after the wrong ones pass.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Right timing is usually recognised by contrast. You know a moment is the one partly because you have felt several that were not, and that discrimination cannot be developed in the abstract. The wrong moments are not wasted; they are how you learn to recognise the right one when it comes.

So treat near-misses as instruction rather than loss. After something did not work out, ask what specifically was off about the moment, not just the plan. Conditions, readiness, other people’s circumstances. Those observations accumulate, and eventually you find yourself able to tell the difference in advance.
