Keep what belongs to your actual interests, not every interest you once considered adopting.

REFLECTION
Cupboards fill with equipment for lives you tried on briefly. The bread machine and the language books belong to a version of you that was being considered rather than lived, and keeping them holds that possibility open at the cost of the space you need now. Honest storage holds what you use, not what you meant to become.
Open one drawer and sort by a single question: have I touched this in a year, and do I miss it when I have not? What fails both can go to someone who will use it. Letting go of the object is not the same as giving up on yourself.
Do your shelves hold interests you never actually adopted?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
