Attention tends to land on the parts that ask for attention, which makes it a poor guide to what mattered.

Look at something that went well recently and trace it back past the obvious contributor. Say out loud who did the quiet part. If you are the one doing it, take some satisfaction in work that holds even when nobody can point to your hand in it.
