A shared space needs room for the life being lived in it, not only the image of order.

GRATITUDE
A home that is only ever tidy has stopped being used. The half-finished puzzle, the instrument out of its case, the drawing on the table are all evidence of people doing things, and clearing them away the moment they appear tells everyone that living here is something to be done invisibly. Order matters, and so does having somewhere to leave your work.
Agree on a couple of places where projects are allowed to sit unfinished. Keep the shared paths and surfaces clear, and let the rest carry signs of occupation. A house should look like the people in it, not like a photograph taken before they arrived.
Does your home serve the life inside it or its appearance?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
