The person who enjoys their own space may welcome a visit with a clear ending.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Solitude and sociability are not opposites, and people who value their own space are often glad of company that has a shape to it. What makes a visit hard is rarely the visitor. It is the open end, the not knowing whether this is an hour or an afternoon, which turns hospitality into a vigil. A stated departure time removes all of that.
When you visit someone who likes their own routine, say at the door how long you are staying, then leave when you said. You will be invited back far more often than the guest who never announces the end.
Would a visit suit you better if it had a stated end?
