Watch for the change in an older neighbor’s routine without treating their life as yours to supervise.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Living near someone gives you a kind of information nobody else has: the curtains that always open by nine, the walk to the shop on Tuesdays, the car that has not moved. A change in that pattern is worth noticing, and noticing is not the same as taking charge. Being watched over and being watched feel very different from the inside.
If a routine near you has shifted, knock and ask an ordinary question rather than a diagnostic one. Offer something specific and small. Let them tell you what they want, and take that answer seriously.
Which older neighbor’s routine would you notice if it quietly changed?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
