Some goals look attractive because you have only imagined the moment of arrival.

LEADERSHIP
Imagination goes straight to the arrival. You picture the moment of finishing, the photograph, the relief, and that scene occupies a tiny fraction of the actual time the thing will take. Everything else, the years of ordinary effort, the parts nobody applauds, gets skipped because it is difficult to daydream about. Some goals only look attractive because that skipping happened.
Spend a few minutes imagining the middle of the thing you want rather than its end. A Wednesday in the third month, when it is going neither well nor badly. If that day still appeals to you, the goal is probably yours.
Which goal have you pictured only at its finish line?
