The skill that feels slow may be asking for a smaller piece to practice.

A stall in learning usually means the unit is too large. You keep attempting the whole movement, the whole phrase, the whole problem, and each attempt fails in three places at once, so nothing gets clearer about any of them. What feels like a lack of talent is often just a piece that has not been cut small enough to work on.
Take the thing that keeps going wrong and find its smallest separable part. Practice only that, badly, for a short session. Put it back into the whole once it stops being the place where everything collapses.
Which skill would improve if you practiced one narrow piece instead?
