A seed packet sells possibility; the watering still belongs to you.

RESILIENCE
Buying the thing is not the same as doing the thing, though the shop is designed to blur that line. What comes in the envelope is potential, priced cheaply because potential is cheap. Everything that turns it into a plant is unglamorous, repetitive, and cannot be bought: turning up with water on days when nothing appears to be happening. Most abandoned projects died at exactly that stage.
Look at what you have acquired recently in the name of a new habit. Pick one and do the boring maintenance part twice this week, before buying anything else.
What possibility have you bought but never watered?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
