The dancer’s easy turn rests on adjustments too small for the audience to count.

RESILIENCE
Effortlessness is a result, not a description of the process. A turn that looks like one smooth event is actually several dozen tiny corrections a second, none of them large enough to register from a seat in the room. The audience sees the outcome and reasonably concludes that nothing difficult occurred. This is why watching experts can be discouraging rather than instructive; the visible part omits the mechanism.
When something looks easy and yours does not, assume corrections you cannot see. Then find someone who will slow it down and show you what their hands and feet are actually doing.
What tiny corrections keep your work looking effortless?
