Risk wisely, but remember that refusing every risk is still a gamble.

RESILIENCE
Refusing risk is not stepping out of the game. You are betting that things stay stable, that your current situation holds, that no change will be required of you, and those are not safe assumptions. The wager is simply less visible because nothing happens on the day you make it.
When you decline something risky, say plainly what you are betting on instead. If the answer is that nothing will change, examine whether you believe that. The point is not to take more risks indiscriminately, only to stop treating one side of the choice as though it were free.
What are you risking by keeping everything exactly as it is?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
