The form returned for a small error brings a large wait back with it.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
The size of the mistake and the size of the consequence have nothing to do with each other here. A box left blank costs a minute to fix and six weeks to resubmit, and the wait lands on whoever needed it soonest. Nothing about that is deliberate cruelty. It is what happens when a process is built without anyone counting the trip back.
If you are filling one in, the boring second check is worth more than it feels. If you design one, ask what a rejection actually costs the person receiving it, and whether a phone call could fix what a resend cannot.
Which small oversight cost you far more time than expected?
