Learning includes knowing which part of a successful result you cannot yet reproduce deliberately.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
A good outcome does not tell you which of your actions produced it. Some of what worked was deliberate, some was habit, and some was simply the conditions being kind, and until you can separate those, you have a result rather than a skill. The honest question after something goes well is not whether you are capable but which part you could do again on purpose.
After your next success, spend ten minutes writing down what you actually did, step by step. Mark the steps you could repeat tomorrow and the ones you could not explain. Practise the second list, since the first is already yours.
Which recent success could you not repeat on purpose?
