A title can make the same sentence sound more informed than it did yesterday.

LEADERSHIP
The same words carry different weight depending on who is credited with them. A sentence that went unheard in a meeting becomes insightful once the speaker acquires a title, and nothing about the sentence has changed. Listening is expensive, so people use position as a shortcut for deciding what deserves attention.
Watch for the shortcut in yourself. When something strikes you as impressive, ask whether you would have agreed had it come from the newest person in the room. And if you now have the title, name whoever said it first, especially when they said it before anyone was listening.
Whose words do you weigh by their job title?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
