A saved coin can carry more intention than an unexamined large purchase.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Scale and deliberateness are different measures. Putting a small amount aside on purpose involves a decision, a reason and a future you have thought about, while a large sum can leave your account through momentum, because it was the default, or expected, or easier than declining. The size of a transaction says nothing about how much thinking went into it.

Look at the largest thing you have spent on lately and ask what decision preceded it. If you cannot find one, that is worth knowing. Then take one small amount this week and place it somewhere on purpose, so at least part of your money reflects a choice.
