A familiar excuse becomes background noise before it stops causing actual trouble.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Repeated often enough, a reason stops being processed as a reason. The first time, people take it in; by the fifth, they nod and route around you, and what they have concluded is that this is simply how you are. Meanwhile the problem is still happening to somebody, on schedule. Being tolerated is not the same as being fine.
Any explanation you have used more than a few times should be treated as the signal. Either fix the underlying thing or stop offering the excuse and take the consequence honestly. Both are better than the arrangement where everybody has stopped listening and nothing has changed.
Which excuse have you repeated until you stopped hearing it?
