The door everyone uses may be nowhere near the building’s grandest entrance.

Buildings state their intentions at the front and reveal their habits at the side. The grand entrance is for arrivals and photographs; the door by the bins is where staff, deliveries and anybody in a hurry actually come and go, and it holds better information about how the place works. What something is designed to seem and how it gets used come apart quickly.
In any organisation you join, find out which door people really use and who props it open. Ask whoever works near it what happens here. The front is a claim and the side is the practice.
