The sketch made while waiting can return an otherwise forgotten hour to you.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Waiting time normally leaves no trace. An hour in a corridor or a station is gone afterwards, indistinguishable from every other hour like it. Anything you make during that time behaves differently: a few lines on the back of an envelope will still put you back in that chair years later, along with the light and the mood and who you were waiting for.

Carry something to draw or write in and use it during dead time rather than scrolling. The result does not have to be good; it only has to have been made then, which is the part that keeps.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What waiting hour did you turn into something you still have?
