The price displayed clearly saves a customer from having to reveal their hesitation.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Asking the price is a small act of exposure. It tells the room that you might not be able to afford this, and it puts you in the position of hearing a number while somebody watches your face. A price written on the label removes all of that: you can look, decide, and walk away without anyone knowing what you concluded. It is a piece of design that protects dignity rather than information.

If you set prices or write listings anywhere, publish the number plainly and early. And notice the other places where you make people ask for something they should simply have been told.
