The document nobody liked handling can later become the most useful evidence.

RESILIENCE
The tedious record is the one that turns out to matter. Nobody enjoys keeping the log, filing the receipts, minuting the awkward meeting, and the work gets done grudgingly if at all. Then a dispute arrives, or a memory fails, and the only thing that can settle it is the boring document somebody kept anyway. Its value is entirely retrospective, which is why it is so consistently undervalued in advance.
Identify the record in your life that nobody wants to maintain and do the next entry properly. Keeping it in one findable place matters as much as writing it, since evidence you cannot locate is not evidence.
