You may discover that what you called boredom was simply untrained attention.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Boredom often means your attention has not been trained to stay anywhere long enough for a thing to become interesting. Fed a constant stream of stimulation, attention loses the capacity to settle, and anything requiring more than a moment registers as dull. The dullness is in the attention, not the subject.
Practise staying with one thing for longer than is comfortable. A book, a task, a conversation, a view. Ten minutes past the point where you want to switch. The capacity rebuilds with practice, and what comes back is the ability to find ordinary things absorbing again.
What did you abandon recently because it felt slow at first?
