The task repeated thoughtfully can keep teaching after speed becomes familiar.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Repetition first produces competence, then produces speed, and then usually produces nothing more. What changes that is attention: doing the same thing while asking what varies, what could be smoother, what you have never actually looked at. Craft lives in the difference between doing something for the thousandth time and doing it for the thousandth time on purpose.
Take one routine task this week, change how you approach it slightly, and notice what happens. Even a small deliberate variation returns some of the interest that habit has worn away.
