The cupboard door shut neatly does not settle what is happening behind it.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Closing something is not the same as resolving it. A tidy front can be arranged in seconds while what it conceals continues exactly as before, which is why houses, accounts and families can look entirely composed from the doorway. The neatness is genuine as far as it goes. It simply reports on the door rather than on the contents.
Pick one closed cupboard of your own, literal or otherwise, and open it this week without needing to fix everything inside. Looking is a separate act from sorting, and it is usually the harder one to begin.
What have you tidied out of sight instead of actually sorting?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
