Roles become kinder when the people carrying them can admit what does not fit.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Every role comes with a script, and no script fits a whole person. A parent who cannot say that some of it is hard, a manager who cannot say they do not know, a patient who cannot say they are frightened: each is carrying the part that does not fit in silence, and silence makes the role heavier for everybody near it. Admitting the misfit does not break the role; it makes it liveable.

Say one true thing out loud this week that your role does not usually allow. Keep it small and factual rather than a confession. Notice who relaxes when you do.
