Some battles disappear when you stop identifying yourself as the person who has to fight them.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Some fights persist because you have made them part of your description of yourself. If being the one who struggles with this, or who never gets a fair deal, is woven into how you introduce yourself, then winning would cost you a piece of your identity. So the fight quietly continues, well after the original conflict has lost its meaning. The struggle is being fed by the role, not the circumstance.

Notice which of your difficulties you would miss if it vanished tomorrow. That is not a criticism; it is information about where identity has attached itself. Practise describing yourself once without mentioning the battle, and see what else there is room to say.
