The person you believe yourself to be quietly decides which opportunities you even notice.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Self-image works as a filter long before it works as a limit. If you believe you are not the sort of person who gets invited, asked, promoted, or loved, your attention quietly stops registering the moments when it might have happened. You do not consciously reject the opportunity. It simply never rises high enough in your awareness to become a decision.
For one week, act as if the opportunities you assume are for other people might also be for you, and watch what you begin to see. Reread an email you skimmed, or reconsider an invitation you assumed was polite. Often the door was open and you were not looking at that wall.
What opportunity have you skipped because it seemed meant for someone else?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
