The strongest mindset is not positive all the time; it is useful when everything turns negative.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A mindset that only works when things go well is not really a mindset. It is a mood that circumstances happened to permit. What actually carries you is the capacity to keep functioning when the news is bad, to stay accurate about the situation while remaining willing to act inside it. Forced positivity tends to collapse exactly when you need something to hold.
Next time something goes wrong, skip the effort to feel good about it. Ask instead what is still within your control and what the next useful action is. Usefulness under pressure is a more durable thing to build than cheerfulness.
When things went badly, what helped you more than optimism did?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
