An unfinished idea can still contain something worth rescuing.

Abandoned work is not worthless, it just failed as a whole. Inside it there is usually one line, one shape, one insight that was the reason you started, and losing that because the container failed is a common and avoidable waste. The thing was never all one quality.

Go back through the projects you gave up on and look for the single element that still holds. Extract it and keep it somewhere separate from the failure it came from. Ideas often need a second setting before they work.
