It is good to love the unknown.

— Charles Lamb

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Most people treat the unknown as something to survive, a gap to close quickly. Loving it is a different posture: you find what you do not yet know interesting rather than threatening. That removes no risk, but it changes what you do with risk. Curiosity and dread point at the same facts and produce opposite lives.

Find one open question in your week that you have been rushing to settle. Sit with it a day longer than is comfortable and see what it offers before you close it. Notice whether the hurry is about the answer or about the discomfort of not having one.
