People watch what leaders tolerate more carefully than what leaders announce.

Announcements state values, tolerance reveals them. What you let pass without comment defines the actual standard, and people calibrate to that rather than to the stated one. A tolerated behaviour is an approved behaviour, whatever was said in the meeting.

Look at what currently goes unaddressed on your watch. If any of it contradicts what you claim to care about, the contradiction is already being read correctly. Choose one and address it this week.
