Sometimes the answer to “what is the point?” is hidden inside who benefits from your effort.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The question of what the point is tends to be asked in isolation, where it has no answer. Following it outward, to whoever is better off because you did the work, usually produces one immediately. Meaning is relational more often than it is intrinsic.
When the work feels empty, trace who receives it. Be specific, name the actual people. If nobody is genuinely on the other end, that is worth knowing too, and it points at what to change.
Who is better off because of the work you did this week?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
