GRATITUDE
Going without money is a specific condition with a specific size, and there is a figure that would end it. Wanting more without limit has no such figure, so the person driven that way stays short no matter what arrives. The two look similar from outside because both feel like need, but one can be met and the other reorganises itself around whatever is gained.
If you catch yourself feeling behind, check which kind of shortage it is. Name the actual number or the actual thing that would be enough. If no number would do, the problem is not the amount, and more of it will not help.
What amount would finally be enough for you to stop?
